Before you load up
Static and dynamic load are not the same number.
Vehicle limits matter as much as rack strength. Every product page lists both ratings so you can plan a safe build. Read the load rating FAQs
Static load
Vehicle parked
What the rack carries standing still, for example a rooftop tent set up with people in it.
Dynamic load
Vehicle moving
What it carries off-road, braking and cornering, when forces multiply. Always the lower figure.
